The "Tau"
The sign and
the Cross of
Conversion.
When He approached Jerusalem
on Palm Sunday, Our Lord stopped and wept. If only the people then (and
also now) would have listened. St. Francis too ran into stubborn opposition
from the people of his day. Once he went to preach to animals. Why? Creatures
have no need of salvation's message. He must have been so frustrated with
the people of his day that St. Francis went and preached to God's creatures.
At times St.Francis's message of Metanoia, total conversion to God and
away from sin, went unheeded. But are we any better today in heeding Our
Lord's message and/or the one that He entrusted to St. Francis?
"Take up your TAU
( The sign and
the Cross of
Conversion.)
and follow Me."
