Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School “Goes Global with Youth & Schools”:

Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School Studies El Salvador” (Plain Dealer article, 11/12/02):

“A delegation of students and teachers from Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland is

             making history this week.

“The group of five students and three teachers is spending a week in El Salvador to immerse

themselves in the Central American nation’s culture.  The group, which left Cleveland on Friday, is the

first from a local Catholic high school to go on such a journey.

“VASJ service coordinator Lori Schulz and religion teacher Chris Janezic submitted a proposal for

the trip and received a grant from St. Mary’s Seminary in Wickliffe.  Five seniors were chosen to

participate:  Sabrina Johnson of Cleveland and Kaitlin Delaney, Matthew Seither, Luis Hernandez and

             Daniel Kava of Euclid.

“Schulz, Janezic and Jack Veasey, a Spanish teacher and the school’s foreign-language chairman,

round out the delegation, which returns home Friday.”
