Angel Aid

Certificate Program

What is "Angel Aid"?
Angel Aid is a gift certificate program where people purchase gift cards for groceries, gas and other items. The School and Church receive a percentage back on the purchase of these cards.

What is the objective?
To help ensure the long-term financial health and stability of the SMM Parish Community through the creation of a long- term fundraising initiative.

How does it work

  • St. Mary Magdalene buys shopping certificates for Tops, Giant Eagle and an extensive list of other vendors (see list on order form) at a 4% discount (for example).

  • Let’s say you do grocery shopping at Tops each week and spend $100. You would buy $100 worth of Tops Certificates from SMM and take them with you when you grocery shop.

  • Grocery Stores accept these certificates as they do cash. You purchase your groceries with the $100 worth of Tops Certificates and SMM receives 4% of that amount. 2% goes directly towards the school budget the other 2% you can designate to either the school budget, Parish Deficit or Reduce the tuition of a designated child

How do I begin?

Order forms will be available at the back of the church, in the Parish Office and here on the web. On the order form is a list of the vendors that participate in this program. Also included on the sheet is the % of profit. ½ of the profit goes directly towards the school budget and the other ½ goes to any of the other categories offered. (click here to download the order form)

Just fill out your order form and place in an envelope with a self- addressed envelope inside (the self-addressed envelope will be used to fill your order). Make checks payable to St. Mary Magdalene Parent Association

OR

You can pay with cash (exact amount only). No orders will be filled unless paid for first. Clearly mark your envelopes "Angel Aid" or "Gift Card Order" and place it in the collection basket at any mass. Your order will be filled and will be available for pick-up at the parish office beginning on Friday of that same week. It’s that simple. .
