May 18, 2008 there will be a TOWN HALL MEETING of all parishioners after the Sunday Mass.   This meeting will have presentations by our CPC cluster team and will allow time for questions and answers.  

 

A SPRING-FLING RAFFLE  began on April 27, 2008.  The raffle will benefit both the parish and school and will be used for special projects.   The first place prize is $1500.00.  Second place prize is $750.00.  There will also be a $200.00 prize for the seller of the most raffle tickets.  If you didn’t get your tickets or would like to sell more tickets, please call the rectory office.   Please make your returns as soon as possible.  We need your support and hard work on the raffle to make it a success.

Julius Caesar Ellis, father of Rosalyn Anderson, passed last week.  The funeral for Julius Ellis was held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 8, preceded by a visitation beginning at 9:30am.   Please remember Julius and his family in your prayers.  May he rest in peace.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES:    Parade In The Circle will begin  preparation of costumes and puppetry on Monday and Wednesday from 3:pm to 5:pm.  Anyone interested in participating on the Parade contact Mrs. Gamble.  Parade in the Circle is sponsored by the Cleveland Museum of Art.  Golf Camp for youth ages 8 – 17 will begin soon.  You will get one week of free lessons from 9:am to 3:pm.  The only requirement is that you must be genuinely interested in learning the game of golf.  For more information and for registration contact Mrs. Gamble at the Parish Office – 881-7647. 

 

On Saturday, May 24 at 4:30pm First Communion children from the Diocese are welcome to join Bishop Lennon at the Cathedral to celebrate Mass.  The children will participate in a procession and are encouraged to wear their first communion clothing.   

 

SCHOOL NEWS:  St. Adalbert School will have Kindergarten Screening and testing for grades 1 thru 8 on May 17.   Call the school office and make an appointment to register and test for entrance into our school.   For more information just call the school office at 216-881-6250.
