NEW
AND EXCITING THINGS ARE ALWAYS HAPPENING IN THIRD
GRADE
We
recently read the chapter book Flat Stanley which tells the
story of Stanley's adventures after he is flattened by a
bulletin board. In one chapter Stanley gets mailed in an
envelope to visit a friend who lives out of
town.
In our
classroom the children created their own paper Flat
Stanley's and mailed them to out of town friends and
relatives. We are hoping that our Flat Stanley's will see
many interesting places and come back to school with
postcards, pictures, and souvenirs of the places they
visited.

Speaking of
adventures…
We are
looking forward to our field trip to Ridgeview Farm where we
will get to see firsthand an actual Amish farm and will
learn more about their community, beliefs, and
customs.
We will
also travel to the Lake County Historical Society to learn
about the pioneers who settled in our area.
