Room 9

Mrs. Miller welcomes the Class of 2007!

This is going to be an exciting year for the 8th grade! We will be providing the leadership for the school, journeying towards graduation and making steps toward the preparation of high school.

The focus in 8th grade Religion is "The Creed and Moral Teachings of the Church." The curriculum is organized according to four strands: Message, Worship, Community and Service, which fit in very nicely with their 8th grade leadership roles.

Reading in Grades 5-8 has begun in full swing. We are discovering and discussing the kinds of reading that interest us the most and we will begin to explore all types of written materials and literature. We had our first visit to St. Anselm's Library, which we will be visiting every Wednesday, and have talked about the Accelerated Reading Program.

Reading is everywhere! It doesn't just happen in the classroom!

Reading is contagious - spread the seed!
