St. Anselm Parent Club Meeting Minutes

- Call
to order 7:30/Opening PrayerÑgiven by E.Mierke.
- Introduction

- Old
Business: TreasurerÕs report-
Joe FrankhauserÑPC paid for art room computer approx $3900.00. This was
$1500.00 under the estimate. As of 4/1/07 balance is $23,970.00. $185.00
still owed for laminates. PC also purchased Quince bush and annuals for
Mrs. Fowler.
- Recording
Secretary Report April Meeting-Laura LeonettiÑapproved and were posted
in parent pack.
- Approval of
Vice President 2007/2008 School Year-Eileen MierkeÑall approved. Thank You
to Laurinda Markiewich for volunteering for this position.
- Requests
for Funds
- PC Gift to
Eighth Graders Stephanie
RowenÑfor past few years PC has given $1000.00 for field trips, even
though cost of field trips have changed, S. Rowen suggested to continue
giving $1000.00 for graduation and other costs for the 8th
grade. L. Pirosko seconded, all approved, no objections.
- Graduation
date June 6. Anyone willing to help serve at the 8th grade graduation
reception, please contact Colleen Grant.
- Teacher
Request for next year Eileen
MierkeÑPC has approved $4000.00 for teacher requests for the 2007-2008 school year. Miss Agresta will be in charge of
this teacher fund and will disperse this at her discretion.
- Start up
monies for teachers Eileen
MierkeÑPC will give $100.00 per teacher to assist teachers in getting classrooms ready for the start of the
school year 2007-2008. Total $2100.00.
- PC will
sponsor a hole at golf outing for $100.00
- S. Rowen
proposed to have $7000.00 set aside for the purchase of two smart boards,
one for the lower hall and one for the upper hall. This would continue to
get St Anselm where it needs to be with todayÕs technology. L. Pirosko
seconded. All approved, no objections.
- Committee
Updates
PC is currently putting together folders on each
of our fundraising events. Within each will be all information given from
previous year in addition to a statement from QuickBooks describing monies
spent, reimbursements and total fundraiser dollars. This will serve as a budget
for the following year as well as a timeline for the committeeÑthis will be
completed with in a few weeks.
- Tail Gate
Treasures Thomas
MasseyÑS. Rowen will try to get 7th graders to run a concession
stand. Date is set for June 2nd, rain date is June 9th. Still
working on a teacherÕs booth, profit to go for school purchases. T. Massey
says all planning is going well.
- Box Tops
Update Jackie
MessinaÑSchool received check for $397.15, there is $100.00 dollars still
owed to school. Profit for school year was approx. $1000.00.
- Market Day Update Genise
Deligatti-- $400.00 profit from April sale. All that ordered for the month
of May must pick up order on May 23rd due to the school being
closed on May 24th & May 25th for festival.
- Hospitality Chair Person Lorrain
MorousÑPC would like to thank Lorrain for volunteering for this position
for the 2007 - 2008 school year.
- Discussion
on removing Box Tops from PCÕs list of Fundraisers.ÑL. Pirosko motioned
and E. Mierke seconded to have Miss Agresta to be in charge of this
fundraiser. All approved. No objections.

PiroskoÑLast meeting cancelled. Next meeting on May 15th.
Anyone interested in representing their grade level should contact Miss
Agresta immediately as new members will be installed at the next meeting.
- Teacher
Rep/Update Mrs.
GalaskyÑStressing the importance of having someone volunteer to run the
talent show this year, the children really enjoy this activity and with no
one to run it there will be no talent show.

funds for fun and field day luncheon.
- PrincipalÕs
Update Miss
AgrestaÑunable to attend. S. Rowen had a request from Miss Agresta.---Due
to the safety of the children faculty has asked to have the picnic during
fun and field day instead of the last day of school. The Last day of school
there would be a mass and an all school assembly if no one can do the
talent show.
