HOME:  Eastern Pacific Ocean off the coast of North America

ORDER: Perchlike fishes

FAMILY: Sea basses and groups

WEIGHS: 577 Pounds

LIVES UP TO: 75 Years

MATURE AT AGES: 11-13

WHEN MATURE WEIGHS: 50 Pounds

EGGS LAID:  60 Million eggs

THEIR DIET IS: Smaller fish and sometimes even their own species and plants

HOW IT DEFENDS ITSELF: It uses camouflage and hides from its prey

CARNIVORES OR HERBIVORES: Carnivores

WARM OR COLD BLOODED: Cold blooded

    They are great animals.  There are many left, which is a good thing.
