Grade 7
Miss Leslie Jo Bell

The school year is off to a wonderful start.  It is hard to believe that summer vacation is over; it went very quickly.  It was nice to meet and see some of the parents on Thursday evening.

This year I will still be teaching Religion, reading, and spelling to my homeroom.  Also, I will still be teaching the seventh and eighth grade math.  New for me this year, I will be teaching seventh and eighth grade science and health; I am very excited about teaching these subjects.

As I told parents on Thursday evening, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns by either phoning the school or using my email address which is listed at the bottom of this page.

Religion

In seventh grade the students will be studying the New Testament.  We will look at the Beatitudes, the Palestine region, Jesus the teacher.  Currently the class is writing our class prayer.  Each year the seventh grade class writes a prayer that we start off our day will; the students really enjoy the process and I am always amazed at how inspired they are.

The class have been given a list of prayers that they need to memorize by the end of the first quarter, October 22.  Here is the list:
Our Father
Hail Mary
Prayer Before Meals
Doxology
Act of Contrition
Apostle's Creed
Class Prayer

Please help your child in their memorization.
