1.  Pray as a family together before meals and at other special times
   
2. Consider having family reading times
3. Promote independence and patience in problem solving
4. Encourage your child to read about science in daily life
5. Discuss local, national, and global news events and their causes and effects with your child
6. Promote healthful nutrition and exercise for your child
7. Demonstrate acceptance of others and respect for cultural and ethnic differences
8. Encourage your child to use technology as an educational resource tool
