Saint Martha Parish School News
Kindergarten
are thankful for their teacher, their friends, and that they can read books."
The First Graders
“Thank you Lord for our teachers, friends,
school and parish staff, and a school
that we can pray and sing in.”
The Second Graders
“We are thankful for our teachers,
Fr. Mike, Sr. Eileen, and our families
for teaching us new things.
And for receiving the gift of Jesus
through Holy Communion.”
The Third Graders
“We thank you Lord for our teachers,
Fr. Mike, our lunchroom ladies, Miss
Lackney, the playground moms,
our friends, the mobile unit teachers,
our after school care moms,
Sr. Margaret, Sr. Louise, Sr. Eileen
and all who help at our school.
Without all of these people,
Saint Martha school would not be the
special place it is.
We thank you Lord, for Mrs. Dreisback,
who made gym class and computer class
fun. We thank you for her caring and loving ways.”
The Fourth Graders
“The fourth grade is thankful for all
of Saint Martha’s teachers.
They help us grow in our faith.
We are thankful for all of the students,
staff members and parish members of Saint Martha.
We are thankful for a successful school
year and we pray it is a safe and happy summer for everyone.
We are also thankful for Miss Berkey
and wish her success in her future.”
The Fifth Graders
“In this year of school, we have had
many privileges. First of all, we have had D.A.R.E.
It was a very fun and important way
of teaching us about the dangers of drugs.
We all enjoyed Camp Christopher, too.
We are very thankful that we had a
good time, lots of fun, and had no one get hurt.
It has been a pleasure to work with
the 6th graders in ‘club’.
We have had great teachers, especially
Mr. Horning,
that make sure we understand what
we learn, along with trying to teach us more and more.
We have been able to learn all of
this in the best setting of all: a Catholic School.
Our 5th grade class had lots of fun,
and wonderful memories this year at Saint Martha.”
The Sixth Grade
is thankful for teachers, the principal
and staff who never gave up on us, helping us receive
a good education as well as encouraging
us to grow in our faith.
We’re also thankful for our families
and friends who support us.
We appreciate all the work Mrs. Bugajski
has put in for the graduating 8th graders.”
The Seventh Graders
“We are thankful for Miss Wise for fulfilling
the responsibilities as the 7th grade teacher
being helpful and caring and being
respectful to everyone.
We are thankful for the peace and togetherness
that our class has established in the 2000-2001 school year.
We are thankful for Mrs. B and Mrs.
D for being there for us even through their pregnancies.
We wish luck to all the teachers,
students,
Sr. Eileen and [the] graduating 8th
grade who are leaving; that their journey will be in the light of the Lord.”

From what they have
shared, it is evident that the gift of wisdom
that God blesses us
with is not necessarily
something that is tied
directly to age – but an act of grace by God!
