Trip Plan for MVSR & Roscoe Village

Date and Time of Departure: Saturday April 24, 7:00am - front of Old Church, leave when ready and make sure you ate breakfast AND BRING A BROWN BAG LUNCH

Purpose: Get a night of tent camping with our Troop, check our MVSR (the location of our 2nd summer camp) & discover a part of Ohio History by visiting Historic Roscoe Village and earning Roscoe's Scout Patch. Roscoe Village is a restored Ohio and Erie Canal town from the mid-1800's. Take a look at Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation by exploring its ground and facilities. Have Fun!

Cost: $20.00 per scout (permission slip and fee due at meeting on April 6th)

Location: Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation (MVSR) located at 16905 County Road 271, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 and Roscoe Village located at 381 Hill Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.

Estimated Time of Return: Sunday, April 25th, 10:30am

7:00am Meet at Old Church (in front) - load Troop gear
7:30am Depart for Roscoe Village
9:30am Arrive Roscoe Village and check-in with staff
10:00am Begin hands-on activity to earn Scout patch
11:00am Lunch at picnic area - bring your own brown bag lunch
12:00pm Living history tour
2:00pm Free time to explore Roscoe Village
3:00pm Drive to campsite from Roscoe Village
3:20pm Arrive campsite
3:30pm Set up camp and explore MVSR
5:00pm Supper
6:00pm Scout skills & advancement
7:30pm Troop games
8:30pm Campfire program & snacks
10:30pm Taps & bedtime
11:00pm Ligts out & quiet time

7:00am Revelry & begin breaking down camp
8:00am Breakfast
8:30am Depart camp MVSR and head back to Assumption
10:30am Arrive at Assumption (in back lot)
